Additional information for becoming a Home Inspector in Indiana

To secure your home inspection license in the state of Indiana, you must complete the following steps:
  1. Applicant must be 18 years or older.
  2.  
  3. Applicant must possess either a High School Diploma or GED.
  4.  
  5. Must complete 60 hours of approved pre-licensing education.
    • Note: 12 hours of practical experience and training must be included as part of the 60 hours of approved pre-licensing education.
  6. Must pass the National Home Inspector Exam.
  7.  
  8. Must possess General liability insurance coverage for at least $100,000.
  9.  
  10. Must submit application with initial $50 application fee.
