Requirements for a Home Inspector License in Indiana
State Requirements
To become a licensed home inspector in Indiana, you must complete:
an IPLA-approved pre-licensing training course.
a 12 hours of practical in-field training experience with a licensed inspector. The state requires 12 hours of hands-on training experience conducting home inspections.
Pass the pre-licensing course’s 250-question final exam (free & online for members).
Pass the state exam. Scheduled through the state website.
