Additional information for becoming a Home Inspector in Delaware

To secure your home inspector license in Delaware, you must complete the following steps:
  1. Applicant must possess either a High School Diploma or GED.
  2.  
  3. Applicant must complete 140 hours of approved Delaware Home Inspection Education.
  4.  
  5. Applicant must complete 75 supervised field inspections.
  6.  
  7. Applicant must complete and pass the National Home Inspector Exam (NHIE).

  9. Applicant must possess the following insurance:

    1. Errors and Omissions insurance equal to or greater than $50,000.
    2.  
    3. Liability Insurance equal to or greater than $250,000.
  11. Applicant must submit application with the initial application fee.
