Additional information for becoming a Home Inspector in Delaware
To secure your home inspector license in Delaware, you must complete the following steps:
- Applicant must possess either a High School Diploma or GED.
- Applicant must complete 140 hours of approved Delaware Home Inspection Education.
- Applicant must complete 75 supervised field inspections.
- Applicant must complete and pass the National Home Inspector Exam (NHIE).
- Applicant must possess the following insurance:
- Errors and Omissions insurance equal to or greater than $50,000.
- Liability Insurance equal to or greater than $250,000.
- Applicant must submit application with the initial application fee.
