Additional information for becoming a Home Inspector in Mississippi

To secure your home inspection license in the state of Mississippi, you must complete the following steps:
  1. Applicant must be over the age of 21.
  2.  
  3. Applicant must possess either a High School Diploma or GED.
  4.  
  5. Must take 60 hours of approved pre-licensing coursework.
  6.  
  7. Must take the National Home Inspection Exam.
  8.  
  9. Applicant must carry $250,000 per occurrence in General Liability Insurance and $250,000 per occurrence in E&O Insurance.
  10.  
  11. Applicant must pass background check
  12.  
  13. Applicant must submit their notarized application, along with the initial $175 application fee.
