Additional information for becoming a Home Inspector in Maryland

To secure your home inspector license in Maryland, you must complete the following steps:
  1. Applicant must possess either a High School Diploma or GED.
  2.  

  3. Applicant must complete 72 hours of approved Maryland Home Inspection Education.
  4.  

  5. Applicant must complete and pass the National Home Inspector Exam (NHIE).
  6.  

  7. Applicant must possess General Liability insurance that covers at least $150,000.
  8.  
  9. Applicant must submit their application and pay the initial $50 application fee.
