To secure your home inspector license in the state of Kentucky, you must complete the following steps:
  • Attend an approved 64-hour pre-licensing live class. Click here for a list of approved education providers.

  • Complete 3 unpaid home inspections under supervision of a Kentucky licensed home inspector with written reports submitted.
  •  
  • Pass the National Home Inspector Exam.
  •  
  • Submit a $250 aplication fee (non-refundable).
  •  
  • Submit a 2×2 passport photo.
  •  
  • Have a High school diploma or GED.
  •  
  • Provide proof of insurance.
  •  
  • Pass both the State and FBI background check.
  •  
  • Include a copy of a home inspection report.
