Yes, a Home Inspector License is Required in Illinois!
To become a licensed home inspector in Illinois, you must complete:
- 60 hours of pre-license education from an education provider approved and licensed by IDFPR-DRE
- Perform 5 field events under the supervision of a licensed home inspector
- Take and successfully pass the Home Inspector Examination for Illinois, which consists of the National Home Inspector Examination and a section concerning Illinois statutes and regulations
